The Tube and Wire Melt Bolt Fiberglass thermocouple is designed to allow the sensitive closed end portion of the tip to be inserted directly into the plastic stream of extruders and injection molding machines. The measuring junction is thermally constructed to be separate from the metal bolt mass, to ensure accurate readings of continuous temperature up to 260°C (500°F). This thermocouple has a fiberglass insulated element housed within a stainless steel probe bolt made of 300 series stainless steel.
